'Ontario residents only' at Tent City
Dozens of Ontario police and code enforcement officers descended upon the homeless encampment known as Tent City early Monday, separating those who could stay from those to be evicted.
Large, often confused, crowds formed ragged lines behind police barricades where officers handed out color-coded wristbands. Blue meant they were from Ontario and could remain. Orange indicated they had to provide more proof to avoid ejection, and white meant they had a week to leave.

Obama beats out Jesus as America's hero
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Americans named President Obama as their No. 1 hero, followed by Jesus Christ and Martin Luther King, in a new Harris poll.
Others in the top 10, in descending order, were Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, Abraham Lincoln, John McCain, John F. Kennedy, Chesley Sullenberger and Mother Teresa.
People were asked whom they admired enough to call their heroes. Those surveyed were not shown a list of people to choose from. The Harris Poll was conducted online among a sample of 2,634 U.S. adults by Harris Interactive.
This question was first asked in a Harris Poll in 2001. In that survey Jesus Christ was the hero mentioned most often, followed by Martin Luther King, Colin Powell, John F. Kennedy and Mother Teresa.
The biggest changes upwards on this list into the top 10 since 2001, apart from Barack Obama, were:
— George W. Bush was rated only 19th in July 2001, when he had been president for six months, and is now number 5 on the list.
— John McCain, who was not in the top 20 in 2001, is now number 7.
— Chesley Sullenberger, the pilot who landed his jet safely in the Hudson River, is ranked number 9.

Central American Nations Agree on New Currency
The leaders of the Central American nations met for the 33rd Summit of the Central American Integration System. They issued statements in response to the world financial crisis. One of the measures they intend to implement is the start of a new currency. We assume this is to be called the Central American Dollar and will be tied to a basket of other currencies to avoid fluctuations that a single currency is subject to.
The Central American nations are also going to standardize their passport. It is expected that the new passport will have the name of the country and above or below it say “Central America Passport” similar to the way the Mercosur nations do it now. The nations participating were: Belize, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama and Dominican Republic participating as an associate member.
Discussion – With a new currency you can expect to see a new money wiring system similar to the SWIFT system. The big difference is that the USA and EU will not be able to view any and all confidential banking transactions going through this new system. Bank secrecy is still a way of life in these nations and if anything the new system will allow for more secrecy and confidentiality. This will also lessen the demand for US dollars.
It appears to this writer that these are not the only countries to be moving in this direction. Russia has dropped some subtle but clear comments about relying on the US dollar. China is also not happy. Venezuela is in the process of starting a new central bank and has the support of several South American nations. So while the USA can go and push Lichtenstein around other nations are moving to get away from the USD and go back to sensible international banking. In the USA one just goes into a bank and shows a drivers license and leaves in 30 minutes with a bank account. In the offshore world this process can take days or weeks.
I expect the process to soon go back to being a 30-minute process as soon as there is no longer a monopolistic grip on the nations to use the wire systems passing wires through the USA or EU. Without having to rely on the USA and EU wire systems there is no penalty to be imposed on nations practicing banking the way they like to. Will the good old numbered bank accounts with no ID return? We will have to wait and see but this author is optimistic.
So while everyone is saying doom and gloom regarding Lichtenstein and Obama shouting anti-tax haven slogans you now know what is in store shortly down the road. And yes you did read correctly Panama was at the conference. Did anyone notice the Russian battleship being allowed to cross the Panama Canal a few days ago? First time a Russian warship crossed the Panama Canal since WWII. The world financial crisis brought on by the USA changed things. False Flag Operations
False flag operations are covert operations conducted by governments, corporations, or other organizations, which are designed to appear as if they are being carried out by other entities. The name is derived from the military concept of flying false colors; that is, a ship flying the flag of a country other than one's own. False flag operations are not limited to war and counter-insurgency operations, and have been used in peacetime: for example, during Italy's strategy of tension.

Feb. 15, 1898 - The Maine Bombing – At 9:40 PM an explosion destroyed the American battleship Maine in Havana Harbor and helped propel the United States into a war with Spain. In 1976, Adm. Hyman Rickover, of the U.S. Navy, mounted yet another investigation into the cause of the Maine disaster. His team of experts found that the ship's demise was self-inflicted. Spontaneous combustion of the coal in bunker A16 created a fire that detonated the nearby magazines. 274 crewmen died in this sinking.
May 7, 1915 - The Lusitania - The sinking of the British cargo and passenger ship Lusitania by a German submarine caused serious tension between the United States and Germany and led to America's declaration of war against Germany. August 2nd & 4th, 1964 – Gulf of Tonkin Incident - The Gulf of Tonkin Incident was an alleged pair of attacks by naval forces of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (commonly referred to as North Vietnam) against two American destroyers, the USS Maddox and the USS Turner Joy. This did not happen. This was drummed up by the US military and President Johnson as an excuse to ratchet up the war in Vietnam. 8.744 million military served in this war, 58,169 Americans killed & 153,303 wounded, and 1,948 MIA; 1.7 mil. KIA, WIA & MIA N. Vietnamese military; 4,000,000 million Vietnamese (N. & S.) civilians died; 3 mil Vietnamese (N. & S.) casualties due to Agent Orange; 700,000 Cambodians civilians killed; and 50,000 Laotian civilians killed; 4,900 S. Koreans KIA; 1,446 Chinese Military; 16 Soviet Military KIA; 552 Philippine Military; 351 KIA Tailand; 520 KIA Australians; 37 KIA New Zealanders, during Vietnamese War. At least a total of 6,167,979 lost their lives in the Vietnam War. Total KIA/WIA/MIA casualties - 11,091,282.

April 19, 1995 – Murrah Building, Oklahoma City – A classified report prepared by two independent Pentagon experts has concluded that the destruction of the federal building in Oklahoma City in April 1995 was caused by five separate bombs, and no ATF or FBI agents were in their offices at the time of the blast (about 9:05 AM) 168 died and 800+ injured in this blast.
